Drew's Tip of the Month

Have you ever bought a new pair of shoes without trying them on first?  Probably not, regardless of how nice they are displayed by the shoe store or pro shop. You should consider this before buying your next set of new golf clubs. If you are going to invest in a new set, do yourself a favor and get fit for them.  You are much better off with a new, inexpensive set that fits you than an expensive set that you buy off the rack.  Yes, there is an old saying that it is the Indian not the arrow, but the other side of the coin says a carpenter is only as good as his tools.  Whatever side of the argument you are on, remember, a talented golfer with clubs that are fit for their game can make all the difference. Find a set that makes the game a little easier for you.  There is both a science and an art to fitting golf clubs.  Make sure that your fitter is a qualified club fitter. Lastly, improving your golf skill will have more of an effect on lowering your scores than the latest and greatest clubs will despite how nice they look in your golf bag. Keep Swinging!

Golf Quote

“Some players are never satisfied unless they are buying new clubs…This is not good for the player, but it is quite good for the clubmaker.”

-James Braid Five-time British Open Champion
