2022 Teen Game Changers Conference
Twenty teenagers from around the state joined together on Saturday, October 15th to attend the inaugural First Tee – Massachusetts Teen Game Changers Conference at The Links at Mass Golf. This event was created to offer teen-aged participants an educational and social opportunity, along with a chance to get out on the golf course together. This opportunity was provided free of charge with the support of the First Tee Teen Retention and Recruitment Grant, provided by PGA TOUR Superstores.
16th Annual Fundraiser Tournament Presented by Lighthouse Electrical Contracting - A HUGE SUCCESS!
On a gorgeous November day, 128 golfers took part in the 16th Annual First Tee — Massachusetts Fundraiser Tournament, presented by Lighthouse Electrical Contracting. The event has continued to grow each year with the net revenue from this year’s tournament increasing by 35% over 2021’s outing.
First Tee - Massachusetts joins Top Golf at Fenway Park
On Friday, November 4th, twenty First Tee - Massachusetts participants from our Franklin Park location, gathered for an unforgettable night at the Top Golf Live Stadium Tour at Fenway Park. The evening was made possible by Fenway Sports Group, who donated the tee time.
Kyzar Joshi Selected to First Tee College Scholarship Program
Ashland native Kyzar Joshi has been selected for the First Tee College Scholarship Program, becoming the second participant from our chapter to receive that recognition this year.
Joshi and First Tee participants from Minnesota, San Francisco and Orange County, Calif. have each been awarded scholarships following their participation in the First Tee Leadership Series and Summit in partnership with PGA TOUR Superstore. Their selection was based on their intentional and innovative commitment to personal growth and development as leaders throughout the course of the program.
Sarah Forbes Named Mass Golf Co-Volunteer of the Year
Forbes, the chair of the First Tee — Massachusetts Committee, has helped drive tremendous growth in fundraising while also supporting and facilitating memorable experiences for our participants, especially during the 2022 U.S. Open at The Country Club in Brookline.
Beginning in 2023, First Tee will be reformatting its classes to be delivered by age, much like other youth programs. Classes will now be broken up as follows:
As you go to register your child/children in 2023 you will notice a few changes to the registration portal. The look of the registration portal will still look the same and you will continue to log in as you have in the past. Below are some benefits of this upgrade:

14 year old Gianna Goodrow joined First Tee Mass this past summer as apart of the inaugural class at The Ranch, in Southwick. "First Tee has given me confidence and self-belief, while providing a comfortable environment to learn how to play golf. In addition, Coach Kim and the staff have been amazing Mentors".
Sam, a birdie participant, has been involved in First Tee Mass for four years. "I love the competitive parts of class. Coach Kyle has helped me with my swing and reminds me to use the strategy of STAR (Stop/Think/Anticipate/Respond) a lot which helps me both on and off the golf course."
