Youth on Course is an amazing way to grow the game among junior golfers at all levels. For those that are already involved, thank you! For those that are interested in getting involved in this wonderful program, we welcome you to learn more.
The core purpose of Youth on Course (YOC) is to provide youth with access to life-changing opportunities through golf while creating an opportunity for additional revenue and exposure for our participating Mass Golf Member Clubs. Last year in Massachusetts there were 2,684 individual YOC members, who played 8,411 total rounds at the participating Bay State courses. We look forward to continued growth in 2023!
π² Additional Revenue Opportunity - At the end of each month, your course will receive a check for the subsidy amount, based on the number of rounds played by YOC members.
β° Fill Tee Times - At your discretion, your course fills unused, designated tee times on available days for YOC rounds.
π National Recognition - YOC is growing nationwide, which means your course receives national exposure on both the Mass Golf website and YOC national website and map, driving members to your course!
ποΈ New Customers - Often times, YOC members bring their parents to the course - who pay full rates - and/or purchase food and beverage, or gear for themselves or their participant.
π« Grow the Game - Develop a young and loyal customer base that are excited about your course and could one day be adult members.
New Club Highlights
Multiple new Mass Golf Member Clubs are joining Youth on Course this year! One of those is Dudley Hill Golf Club at Nichols College. Tim Liptrap, Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Sport Management, says "Dudley Hill Golf Club at Nichols College supports the Youth on Course program as we encourage young women and men to stay active while enjoying the game of golf."
Also joining Youth on Course as participating courses are Allendale Country Club in Dartmouth, and Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston.
Jay Miller, Director of Golf Course Operations at Sterling Golf Management, shares why YOC works so well for their clubs around the state:
YOC Provides Opportunity!
Youth on Course is the perfect way to introduce a young player to the game of golf by getting them out on the course! Having played the fifth most rounds of any Mass Golf YOC member in his first year ever playing golf, click below to read about how sixteen-year-old Isaac Davis credits Youth on Course with causing him to fall in love with the game.
