As the season comes to a close, so does the summer with Mass Golf P.J. Boatwright Interns. The eight interns staffed this summer were divided among our departments based on their backgrounds and knowledge. Grace McKinnon specifically stands out with her major in professional golf. As a PGM she spends her classroom hours learning the ins and outs to the golf business. I sat down with Grace to discuss her career path and how it relates to the amateur golf sphere and her tasks from this season.

September rounded out Championship season for us. Below I have highlighted our final Women's Championship and an event that score may not have impacted as much, but for the greater good of the game.
Women's Mid-Amateur
Shannon Johnson captured her 5th victory at the Women's Mid-Amateur Championship at Cape Cod National. During the playoff with Pam Kuong, Shannon leaned on her competitor-turned caddie, Megan Buck to help read the green for a clutch putt.
11 players representing Team Mass Golf took on 100 Holes to raise money for Youth on Course and affordable access to the game. Donations are still being accepted and they go straight to the next generation of golfers throughout the Bay State.
These are a few of my favorite moments from the month of September and I want to make note of them for the light they deserve!
Shortest Par-3s at Public Courses

Fall Golf is upon us and so is everything that goes with the season. This piece highlights a spectacular fall outing along Route 2 which included cider donuts, red leaf hunting, and of course, orchards.
While the outcome was not in our favor, Megan Khang made the most out of her third appearance at the Solheim Cup. She was one of a few players who were undefeated and even earned crucial points for the team.
